Sam Viotty is a designer and educator based in Washington, DC. She is currently an Experience Design Associate on the Obama Foundation's Education Team where she uses design thinking to create opportunities for young people across the country. Her artistic career has revolved around youth and community work as a teaching artist. She gets excited having conversations about museums, visual art, libraries, books, curation and data. Samantha holds a Master of Arts in Civic Media, Art, and Practice from the Engagement Lab at Emerson College where she designed a creative data literacy curriculum for local public libraries. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Film and New Media from Wheaton College in Massachusetts where she began her interests in research design and visual culture.
